Overview

The Gauntlet is a solo PvM challenge in Prifddinas where you gather resources, craft equipment, and defeat the Crystalline Hunllef. The Corrupted version offers better rewards but increased difficulty.

Requirements

Minimum - Song of the Elves quest completed - 70+ Combat stats recommended - Prayer potions helpful but not required

Recommended - 90+ Combat stats - 77+ Prayer for Rigour/Augury - High Agility and Mining for prep

Normal vs Corrupted

Preparation Phase

Resource Gathering Priority

1. Weapon frame (paddlefish pond or monsters) 2. Crystal shards (from all sources) 3. Orbs (3 for T3 weapon) 4. Armor materials 5. Fish

Recommended Gear

Minimum Setup: - T2 armor (platebody, legs, helm) - T3 weapon (bow or staff preferred) - 12+ paddlefish

Ideal Setup: - T2 armor full - T3 bow AND staff - 16-20 paddlefish - 2 potions

Prep Route (5:30-6:00 Target)

1. Start gathering shards and materials 2. Find and kill 2 demi-bosses 3. Collect 3 orbs for T3 weapon 4. Fish paddlefish 5. Cook fish at range 6. Upgrade armor to T2

Hunllef Mechanics

Attack Pattern - 4 attacks, then switches style - Count the attacks! - Switches between Mage and Ranged

Floor Tiles - Tiles turn orange/red periodically - Move off immediately - Diagonal movement efficient

Tornados (50% HP) - Tornados chase you - Run around the room - Don't stop moving

Protection Prayers - Pray against his current attack style - Switch after 4 attacks - Getting hit by wrong style = massive damage

Boss Fight Strategy

Prayer Flicking 1. Count to 4 2. Switch prayer 3. Continue attacking 4. Repeat

Movement - Stay near center when possible - Move predictably for tornados - Don't panic run

Weapon Switching - Switch weapons every 4 Hunllef attacks - Match weapon to his protection prayer - Bow when he prays mage, staff when he prays range

Common Mistakes

1. Not counting attacks - Most deaths happen here 2. Standing on tiles - Move immediately 3. Panic during tornados - Stay calm 4. Bad prep - T3 weapon essential 5. Running out of food - Get 16+ fish

Corrupted Gauntlet Tips

Key Differences - Everything hits harder - Tighter DPS check - Less room for error - Same mechanics, higher stakes

Success Factors - Perfect prayer switches - T3 weapon minimum - 16+ food - Calm under pressure
